Embark on a journey through the 5Rhythms to discover the gateways to pure ecstasy within yourself.
WHAT IS THE WORKSHOP ABOUT?
In her book, Maps to Ecstasy, Gabrielle Roth describes Ecstasy as “an egoless, timeless state of being. It’s a state of total alignment and unity. Unity of body, heart, mind, soul, and spirit.”
Is it really possible to access this state of ecstasy through the 5Rhythms dance?
Can we enter a state of ecstasy at any point in the dance or do we need to wait until we get to Lyrical?
The word ‘ecstasy’ is often misunderstood as it can have many associations attached to it and in some circles, it is even feared as something dangerous or forbidden and to be avoided.
What does ecstasy mean to you and will you give yourself permission to experience it?
Using the Waves map of the 5Rhythms, we will explore these questions and the gateways available to us in each of the rhythms; Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness.
PREREQUISITES
No experience or prerequisites required. Just your curiosity, commitment to be present, and an open heart.
